The start! In the beginning of my online journey as a crafter, I made and sold crocheted items. I found patterns that were free or could be bought overly complicated with far too many abbreviations. I was constantly turning pages back to see what the next abbreviation meant.
So I turned to designing. Not of course in the usual sense, that would have been too easy. No, I decided what I wanted to make and worked it out as I went along. So it stayed in my head. That was fine while I made hats, scarves, gloves, hooded scarves etc and put them in an online shop to sell. But..... a big but here, I came unstuck when I started selling more and I was asked for a particular item in a different colour. So then I had to make the effort to write them down. I kept them simple, they were for my own use and that's what I liked. After a while I would occasionally be asked for a pattern but I didn't have time write them out in a legible form. Besides I liked my designs, made by me, going to International destinations. I constantly looked for new things and tried lot's of different crafts. I wanted this to be a business by this time. I wanted to work for myself.
